Outlook taking 3-4 minutes to open

Running Windows Insider build 17035 on Surface Pro 4 i5 8GB 256SSD and Office 365 8711.2037.

Since the WIndows update to 17035, Outlook is taking nearly 5 minutes to open.  I have 2 IMAP and one Hotmail mail boxes, and have run SCANPST, and compacted all the data files, all to no avail... All other apps open as expected...  Any ideas?

I'm on those builds too, though not using IMAP. Perhaps something to do with Outlook was damaged in the upgrade.

What happens when you run: outlook /safe

That starts it without several things, like the reading pane, toolbar customizations, and add-ins. If that works, you can work backwards to see specifically which is the problem.

You can also try to narrow it down by disabling the accounts and seeing if it starts normally. If so, add them back one at a time.

Sometimes other switches can mysteriously fix things like this, such as /cleanreminders.

Thanks for the suggestions, but for some unknown reason, it's now back to 5 seconds to start up!!!

Who knows what was going on under the bonnet!
