MSFT Loop recycle bin empty

I'm sorry to learn that you're experiencing issues with the recycle bin being lost while using Loop, I understand what it means for such a large team to lose this feature.

Since Microsoft Loop is still in public preview, I suspect this may be a bug or some sort of temporary instability. You might consider waiting for a while and the issue might go away on its own.

In the Microsoft Community, we provide you with technical support, but when it comes to Microsoft Loop, I sincerely recommend that you submit your feedback to the Microsoft Loop team.

You can do this by clicking on Help (question mark icon) in the bottom right corner of the Loop and selecting Give Feedback - Report a Problem.

Hi. please have them contact me directly. I have submitted my issue through the Loop help button. I've posted twice about this issue here, and on the loop help page. Typical Microsoft. Insulate the team from any outside complaints or questions, don't make engineering teams own production, mediocre product.

At least when there's an AWS problem, I know my tickets get responded to by engineers who own the product and get real answers.

I wish the pages went here when members deleted them

I suggest starting by checking the Loop workspace settings for the "Recycle bin" option. Ensure it is enabled, which should make the recycle bin accessible for recovering deleted content. Review the recycle bin permissions as well, confirming that all workspace members have the necessary access rights to restore items from it. In case the recycle bin remains inaccessible or empty despite being enabled, contact Microsoft Support.

Their team may be able to investigate the issue further, provide troubleshooting guidance, or potentially recover deleted content directly. Additionally, explore the possibility of restoring the workspace or specific pages from any available backups or version histories, should Microsoft Support be unable to recover the deleted items. Enabling audit logging for the workspace can also provide insights into deletion activities, aiding in the recovery process.

Once the recycle bin functionality is restored, educate your team on its importance and best practices for using it instead of permanently deleting content. Regular backups and version control measures are recommended to mitigate data loss risks in collaborative environments. While content recovery is not always guaranteed, following these steps should increase the chances of successfully re-enabling the recycle bin and potentially recovering any deleted data within your large Loop workspace.
