We are members of the  Office Insider Program for Windows, Mac, iOS but how can we join the  Office Insider Program on the web as well?

We just get the non-insider builds.

Here is the MS propaganda page for the "Office Insiders" program (aka "unpaid Crash Test Dummies")

    https://insider.office.com/join

It explains how to join and get the insider installations.

Note: if you are in a business setting, the "Office Administrator" may have blocked you from joining Insiders.

I’ve been part of this for awhile but it’s only for the desktop and iOS apps do I have to do something special to trigger the web version?

I have not heard of an web version of Insiders before your question. But there may be.

    .

That page is broken. Although it has a tab for Web (Insider), it just repeats the Windows instructions.

    .

At the bottom of the page there is a "Was this information useful" button. Click on it and comment on the problem with the web tab. Hopefully they will fix the problem, either by removing the tab or entering the correct information. In theory, it could be as simple as making a one line fix to point to the correct text that already exists. Include your email address. if you are lucky they will let you know when the page is fixed, but don't hold your breath waiting. Just keep checking the page daily for the next couple of weeks.

    .

Please let us know if (when?) the page is updated.

Earlier today I read this article about new features in Excel Online

Hint: some of the features also appear in Word Online

Excel in a web browser has some new improvements, many of them are familiar Excel desktop features moved online but one is unique to the browser-based version.

Really excited about the show changes feature. Can see you making good use of that.

That is an interesting page you linked to.

    .

Show changes is the Excel version of Word Track Changes. It would have been nice if MS had used the same name for the feature. Definitely would be useful in an online "co-authoring" scenario, such as online co-authoring. I've always liked the idea of track changes, but never could get comfortable using the Word version.

    .

Targeted release builds is one of the "channels" that the corporate Office Admin can control. But I thought it was limited to the installed versions of Office. The online version is run dynamically on the web. There is no mention of channels in the About dialog in Excel Online. I could be wrong, but I don't see how Office desktop settings could control an online version. I suppose there could be something in the user profile that controls what is displayed in the browser. But I wish there was an indication.

    .

For what ever it is worth, I don't see the new feature in my Excel Online.
