Hello, Clive Watson
Thank you for your feedback. I understand that you want to disable Windows Hello. You can refer to the following methods:
Method 1: Disable the mandatory option to “Require Windows Hello to sign in”
Click the “Start” button, then select “Settings” (the gear icon).
In the left-hand menu of the Settings window, select “Accounts.”
In the Account options on the right, click “Sign-in options.”
Here, you will see settings for PIN, fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, etc. Scroll down to find the “Additional settings” section.
“For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device.” Turn off this switch.
Still on the “Sign-in options” page.
Click the method you want to remove, such as “PIN (Windows Hello).”
The “Remove” button should now be clickable. Click it.
The system will prompt you again to confirm the removal and may ask you to enter your Microsoft account password to verify your identity. This is to ensure that someone else is not arbitrarily modifying your security settings.
If you have also set up fingerprint recognition or facial recognition, use the same method to click on them and select “Remove.”
Method 2:
Log in with a local account without a password.
Search for CMD in the search bar, select “Run as administrator,” and enter the following commands one by one:
net user USERNAME PASSWORD /add
After the command completes successfully, enter the following command:
net localgroup administrators USERNAME /add
Note: Replace USERNAME PASSWORD with the account name and password you want. If you don't need a password, you can leave PASSWORD blank.
I look forward to your feedback.
