Hi there, Sorry that you're experience this. You're definitely not alone as there have been several recent reports of Microsoft Edge acting up in ways similar to what you described.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
1.Check for Stuck Keys and External Devices
- Turn of your device
- Unplug any external keyboards, mouce or USB devices
- Turn your device back on and see if the issue continues
2.Scan for Malware
- Open Windows Security (press the Windows key and type "Windows Security")
- Go to Virus & Threat protection
- Run a Quick Scan. If nothing's found, try a Full Scan
3.Review Startup Programs
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
- Go to the Startup tab
- Disable anything you don't recognize or didn't install
4.Update Windows and Edge
- Press Windows Key + I to open Settings
- Go to Windows Update and install any updates
- In Edge, click the three dots > Help & Feedback > About Microsoft Edge to check for updates
5.Try a New User Account
- Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users
- Add a new account and log in with it
- See if the problem happens there, too
If none of these steps fix the problem, let me know. We'll keep going until your device is back to normal. I'm here to help.
