unknown "system file" in windows {was: uknown file system in windows}

Hello

I 've recently format my hard and install new windows seven 64 bit on drive c

when I untick the " hide protected system files" , I see a file with name " CDIPV "

it is 304 kb , picture attached

is it a virus or not?

    In general, it's a better idea to accept the recommendation to hide protected system files. You're much less likely to cause yourself trouble. If you install a quality antimalware program, you can let it worry about malware that may be hiding by using the "system" attribute. What antivirus or antimalware program is installed on your system?

    Your file is probably not a virus or other malware, but to be safe, upload the file to VirusTotal, where it will be checked by a panel of antivirus programs: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload

    If you right-click the file and select "Properties" and then look at the "Details" tab, does that offer any clues about the file?

    reeistorl windows 7 or instor windows vista then upgrayd to windows 7 or it cud be a vires

    this file is still there, but yet there is no sign of corupting my system ,

    What if I delete that file?

    I uploaded the file in virus total and its result was: "No security vendors and no sandboxes flagged this file as malicious"

    my antivirus is Eset internet security 14 + Iobit malware fighter

    also I did right click on file, I only saw this: type:system file
