So I have Windows XP Pro x64 on my VMware Workstation 16, while my computer runs on Windows 10 and I have noticed some bugs with it. I am playing some old games on the virtual machine, but I have noticed after a while, the game stops working or crashes every time. It is strange because for the first few days of installing the virtual desktop the game it works fine, but after a while, it always crashes. And these games are compatible with Windows XP but for some reason, they still don't display properly. The game has low FPS and it flickers quite a lot. And then it always crashes after some more time. Is this coming from my PC or from the Virtual Machine? And how can I resolve this? I heard though that Windows XP is out of support but does that mean it does not work properly for virtual machines either? I see videos around this year of people playing old games but somehow the games work just fine. Are there any ways to fix this or alternatives other than virtual machines?
