Meantime start troubleshoot. with these steps
on the keyboard - Press [Window skey+ C] to open the Charms > Look down
to locate "**Settings**" Now click on "**Change PC- Settings** > click the
PC and devices > on "Mouse and touchpad" > Make sure
the "Touchpad option" is Enabled

if the above steps. Doesn't resolve the problem : Follow these
guideline : That was copy+Paste. From a MSoft article
Update touchpad drivers
- Open Device Manager.
- To find touchpad devices, select Human Interface Devices or Mice and other pointing devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the device you'd like to update.
- Select Update Driver.
Reinstall touchpad drivers
- Open Device Manager.
- Right-click (or press and hold) the name of the device then select. Uninstall device.
- Select Uninstalland then restart your PC.
- Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
if Windows doesn't find a new driver and reinstalling. The driver
doesn’t help contact. your PC’s manufacturer for help
