How can I format and reload my new/used eBay SSD that came loaded with Windows 7 (Chinese)?

I have an old Sony Vaio Z Series (I7 processor) laptop that has been running sporadically giving me the Blue Screen of death. When it happens, it crashes because of the SSD (common problem). It had been updated to the latest Windows 10 (Windows 11 is not supported on this hardware). I just bought a replacement SSD off of eBay and it arrived today. I installed it and booted the computer up. It worked. However, the drive was loaded with Windows 7 (Chinese)! Even the Bios screens come up in Chinese and I can't figure out how to change it to English. I was hoping to re-load Windows 10 from a recovery drive (USB) that I created from my other drive. It appears that the USB drives are not activated on this Win 7 installation. How can I change the language to English? Alternatively, how can I get it to boot from the recovery USB drive that I created from the previous version of that system? I can get into the Control Panel, but I can't read any of the options since they are all in Chinese.

Microsoft no longer has any downloads of Windows 7 available.

You are on your own there.

Be careful of pirated and infected downloads that you find.

    Hi,

You would need to reboot your machine to the Recovery Drive.. It will not be able to recover your OS from within Windows anyway..

Windows should not effect your BIOS language unless you are looking at from within Windows..

Enter Bios directly during a reboot by hitting the appropriate key for your machine..

You bought a replacement SDD as you were having problems with the original SDD

    It came in Chinese?

And you won't have a Recovery Partition as it is NOT your original hard drive.

And you will see that you will have problem changing the language: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-change-my-windows-7-chinese-version-to-an/9a2abf50-fde3-4a6b-adf8-70fbd3b8ef0f
