The "Microsoft Kernel Debug Network Adapter" just showed up under "Network Adapters" in my Device Manager. Anybody know what this is? What is it for? And where does it come from?

    Hi PBylund,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community Forums.

I would suggest you to make sure debugging is turned off and check the status of the issue.

    a) Run this from an elevated command prompt:

    bcdedit /debug off

    b) If it’s still showing up, then you can disable it from the device manager without problems.

    Hope this information helps.

I had the same problem.  Just leave it deactivated.

you can also disable the wifi device from device manager (mine's called: Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC) after disabling this device you have to enable it.

after you've done this, you will be connected to the internet.

-no need to restart your pc

-no information loss when disabling (only when you reinstall this device)

I was having trouble with my hauppauge WinTV DCR-2650 Cable Card tuner. Very bad digital signal loss and bars shooting across the screen. I removed the adapter. It seems it may be the culprit. I had to reinstall the tuner 3 times, until it took. I also updated the NVIDIA drivers in safe mode. It seems to have fixed the issue.
