Hi, We are experiencing a Task Sequence error at the "Installing application" step across multiple machines at the same site using a single primary site on version 2409. The error message indicates "Install Static Applications failed, hr=0x80004005," with an execution status of 24 (Application download failed).

Multiple applications are included in this Task Sequence step, but the failures occur randomly across different applications. No specific error logs related to the failed applications were found in the CAS.log file. All applications have been distributed to all Distribution Points, and it has been verified that they have been downloaded and installed successfully from the Software Center on other machines at the same site.

Using F8 during the error prompt allows access to both the Management Point (MP) and Distribution Point (DP). Additionally, this issue has started to appear at multiple sites, with no recent changes made in the ConfigMgr environment. The deployment involves a PXE boot with a Windows 11 image.

What further checks and actions should be taken to address this issue?

    Hi ,

This error looks like it may be related to network timeout/latency issues. Could you try this method: split the Install Application step and install the applications in groups. Add a 30–60 second delay between each application group. As an alternative, you can enable the Continue on Error option to identify which applications are failing.
