Can I recover my backup encrypted files with without key.pfx file ?

i encrypted my c drive moved encrypted data from c to d drive format my c drive install new windows without saving my bitlocker pfx certificate i log in with same microsoft account on my new windows where i saved my bitlocker recovery key i have my old C drive i formatted recovery key on my microsoft account can i decrypt my backedup file using my old recovery key (note my whole d drive is not encrypted only files i copied from my c drive to d drive are encrypted) please help

    Hello,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A.

    Based on the description, I understand your question is related to recovery.

    Try double-click on the encrypted folder or file. You will be prompted to enter the BitLocker recovery key. Enter the recovery key that you saved in your Microsoft account and click Unlock.

    Once the drive is unlocked, you should be able to access your files as usual.
