Hello,
According to your description, if you cannot connect successfully and the account password is incorrect, you can try the following solutions:
- Make sure that the username and password entered are exactly correct. Do you use the IP or FQDN of the target when making a remote connection?
- Based on past experience, you may have used a VPN, proxy, or other network middleware in double-ended communication that caused the SSL handshake to fail. Check whether there is third-party agent software in the environment, disable it, and then try to see if the remote connection is possible.
- Make sure the remote desktop is turned on correctly. Go to Settings > System > Remote Desktop, confirm that Enable Remote Desktop is turned on, and that the user account that needs remote access has been added to the list of remote desktop users. Confirm that the remote desktop is using the default port 3389, and you can check if the port is open by typing netstat -nao in the command prompt.
- Make sure both devices are in the same LAN. Check the firewall settings of your Windows 11 Pro to make sure that the firewall is not blocking remote desktop connections. You can create an inbound rule of the TCP type and port 3389 in the advanced settings of the firewall.
- Make sure that local network access is allowed in your Mac's privacy and security settings. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and confirm that access is enabled for the app.
I hope this information helps.
Best regards,
Jingjing Wu
