Can someone please explain when MS started this specific NAMP220 server forest and how it is better than legacy MS XChange Servers e.g., NAMPRD005 etc. @Andy David - MVP I would be very thankful for your help.

    Hi, @131HB1122

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

According to your description, you want to know when MS launched the NAMP220 server and why it is better than the traditional one.

Regarding when MS enabled NAMP220, I am sorry that I did not find the exact time, but NAMP220 first appeared in the forum in mid-2021, and Microsoft's product updates are generally released on the official website. You can follow Microsoft's official website to get the latest releases.

Do you know when your Outlook email uses NAMP220?

Regarding why NAMP220 is better than the traditional one, Microsoft may periodically update its server architecture and naming to improve user experience, security, performance, and availability.
