Outlook on Windows lets me choose a default email signature for each mail account, but not for shared mailboxes. Is this feature planned in the future or any other way I can define a default signature for a shared mailbox?

For companies that have gone down the path of shared inboxes to delegate work, the inability to have a default signature anymore per shared inbox is a poor user experience. Personally, I have 12 inboxes that are shared with different workgroups I am responsible for - if I jump in to assist with answering a question, my default signature is what is added, not the shared inbox signature which contains information related to that shared service. This should be added back in a future fix.

It is odd that we can manage shared mailbox signatures using Outlook in a browser. Now that the "new" Outlook client has rolled out, would Microsoft like to comment on whether the desktop app might catch up?

The same is true of other collaborative features such as "Categorise" - the browser version of Outlook works more smoothly and intuitively than the desktop app.

You just need to add a registry entry. After adding this, it will let you assign a default signature to a shared mailbox. You will need to do this to every computer on which the shared mailbox is accessed.

Path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Setup\

DWORD: DisableRoamingSignatures

Value: 1

This changes the layout of the signature setup page to show all shared mailboxes as well as personal mailboxes.
