SSMS is a pure Windows Application, there is no version for Mac.
But you can use Azure Data Studio on Mac with the same (and some more) features:

MS is blocking all Data management /scripts generation etc on Azure Data Studio
SSMS runs only on windows, I am not sure why they cant build one for Mac and 64-bit these days.
dacpac/bacpac might be good but they are flaky and not suitable.
or atleast they should release extension with all features of SSMS to Azure Data Studio

Jeff Tucker 100 Reputation points2025-04-22T13:17:37.1233333+00:00 I know this is an old post, but just commenting that Azure Data Studio is now retiring, and I believe the suggest is to use VS Code instead. As of right now though, the VS Code SQL connector is a bit buggy. Hopefully that gets improved soon!
